The assumption that you would immediately be able to figure it all out and know like oh yeah this is what's happening and this is why is a ridiculous one. I'm okay with sort of just like not knowing what exactly is going on or why or what does what because I think that reflects the situation you would probably be in if you were actually in this situation. David Lindeloff is one of the screenwriters on this movie and he was the writer of Lost and shows like the leftovers too. He has a big pension for just like mystery for the sake of it and like kind of the unsolvable those elements of it don't bother me too much.
