The Effects of Stress on the Brain
The brain is either in survival mode or thrive mode. It's either one or the other. And evolutionarily, your brain isn't designed to survive past the age of reproduction. So with that comes a lot of stress for the brain. When you load it with sleep deprivation and alcohol, when youload it with poor food, well, what happens is it starts to deteriorate. That's what I was seeing on these brain scans.
