Dr. Hicks: People aren't going to miss, generally speaking, the fact that that patient is in hemorrhagic and possibly obstructive shock. Before that patient even hit the door, you had vital signs that suggested a positive shock index. That tells you that that patient has a greater likelihood of presenting in shock,. In other words, it's not recognizable by any other mechanism.
