Scientists need to do better at their philosophy of science, he says. God is a perfectly good theory and we should judge it in exactly the same way as any other scientific theory - one way or the other. I think that if god existed, the world wouldbe a very different place. It would be very, very noticeable if god existed. That's the whole point. And so it's not a matter of saying, we don't need falsifyability any more. We want theories that are definite in what they say about what happens in the universe,. ok?
Welcome to the March 2022 Ask Me Anything episode of Mindscape! These monthly excursions are funded by Patreon supporters (who are also the ones asking the questions). I take the large number of questions asked by Patreons, whittle them down to a more manageable size — based primarily on whether I have anything interesting to say about them, not whether the questions themselves are good — and sometimes group them together if they are about a similar topic. Enjoy!
