real time Phoenix is a book that I wrote. It's also by Pragmatic bookshelf. And it was really successful. Different teams had different usage of Ruby versus Elixir. Some teams just always stayed Ruby and never looked at Elixir at all. Other teams only touched Elixir stuff for like two years. So when people are starting live view, if you don't have the mental model of how channels work, they can feel like magic as soon as you understand what goes behind them.
