The easiest way to address inflation driven by profits is to raise taxes. But republicans, not only do they not want to raise taxes at all, they want to lower taxes on people. They don't want to see any sort of government control over any aspect of the economy. And anything like a price cap, or anything like that that would actually help people, they're going to be against that too. I mean, think about it like this.
