It seems like that's very consistent with a recent study at Worden by Rebera Bellé and Adam Grant and others. What about the association here between this kind of research and the literature on microaggressions, for instance? It intuitively feels to me like it's related to some more genius of things where you have this assumption that some sort of like implicit or unconscious motivations are going to creep out into external behavior. The detectability of those may differ by the perceiver and by the by the actor.
