Do Carbohydrates Cause Insulin Resistance?
After months and months of eating honey every single day, you can see my fasting insulin stays low. I don't become insulin resistant. And we shouldn't be fear mongering about carbohydrates causing insulin resistance. Processed food is a problem. Type of carbohydrate leads to overeating carbohydrates but naturally occurring food carbohydrates do not cause insulin resistance in humans. So it's quantity and type,. right? It would be interesting to see if I could induce insulin resistance in myself by eating like three pounds of honey. You'd have to go really freaking far because I eat a lot of honey."
