The Origins of Slave Owning Societies

For most of human history, that's not what people did. The few burials that we do have actually look like royal burials. They're examples in Russia all the way down to the Mediterranean. And if you took them out of context, bearing in mind that these actually date back to about 25,000 years ago, they just don't make sense. We will come to this later in the series, but there are societies later that are demonstrably slave owning societies.
