The public is used to hearing scientists talk about settled science, and a lot of the disagreement that is scientific occurs behind the scenes. The reason there is an advisory committee with experts is to try to balance out the difference between where the science says and where you have to make a judgment. But at the end of the day, doctor wolensky is the one that has to live with the decision that' got made. And so she did a smart thing in saying, i won't consider all your opinions which were mixed; it was up to im wong to make the call.
