Kieran: I do think that the droid appearing gives some good thematic weight, even if it isn't K2SO specifically. He may still not appear this season as K2's actor Alan Tudyk may have been busy recording lines for Optimus Prime in the upcoming series Transformers Earthspark while this was being made. It does something the show has been pretty good at reusing pre-existing imagery to convey the new show's themes,. plus these droids just look cool.
