The idea is to create these little mini universes where events occur for the observers in them, but not for people outside. These are very fragile bubbles. If any information about what's going on inside of the bubble leaks out to observers outside of it, then they kind of pop. And this violation doesn't occur anymore. But that's a way to see naively why these experiments might be tough to do.
