Secondary Burial Practices - Cheddar Man's Bones

Cheddar Man had marks on his bones that indicate they were scraped clean of flesh. Secondary burial practices may seem strange to us because we generally don't do them anymore, but it's quite common amongst early humans. The condition of the bones and the general find has led some scholars to argue that our prehistoric friend might have been eaten. But as with most things from this period, we can't be 100% certain of anything.
