The fed is trying to lead the markets where they want them to go with forward guidance. Connor sen wrote a peace recently called housing market cool down will only lead to more disfunction. With mortgage rates having breached six %, the housing market is slowing. This might be an acceptable short term price to pay in the fight against inflation but it's going to create future supply chain problems once inflation is under control and we're ready for activity to pick up again.
