Spanish Civil War Interview Series 1: Spanish Anarchism with Dr. James Yeoman
History of the Second World War
The Rise and Fall of the Anarchist Movement
The anarchist movement is allowed to legally reorganize it springs up again almost as if from nothing in the early 20th century. The CNT which will go into talk to the confederate on national confederation of labour becomes the big anarchist organisation in Spain pivotal in the Spanish Civil War that forms in around 1910. They begin to build what I call a sort of cultural infrastructure of the movement the moves beyond just the kind of labour movement and looks to ideas such as radical education gender equality including pushing forward ideas such as birth control equality of rights and the law. And above all they really expand this huge flourishing of that print culture all over Spain hundreds and hundreds of anarchist newspapers start getting published.
