I grew up not bible belt but Sunbelt which is a little bit transplant southern California orange county mega-vangelical. I remember Fourth of July services at my you know local big church up the street that were the most liturgically sophisticated things we pulled off all year. It was an extraordinary thing to look at that when I started actually kind of study theology study scripture and then from there re-engaging almost like a what second naivete of recur whatever.
