Labor's $10 Billion Housing Australia Future Fund
Labor will create a $10 billion housing Australia Future Fund with the annual investment return to build social and affordable housing. The way it's going to work is that the government would borrow $10 billion and set this up as an investment fund. There have been some warnings from the likes of the International Monetary Fund that setting up off-budget funds based on borrowings could be inflationary. So there's a concern that it might have that impact on the economy.
