Pascal came before C. But we said Pascal had more emphasis on data structures. It was not garbage collected same kind of thing. Same manual. So you could still have your use after freeze and all those other problems but over just getting rid of a ray overruns, at least if you were compiled with that debugging options. Certainly would have avoided a lot of problems and could have a lot of benefits.
