It's a very strange movie, totally, isn't it? Like we mentioned this earlier, but there are these two kind of like bumbling cops that are sort of trying to make their way to the house throughout most of the film. And then it just goes from that to the most horrific real violence. I think Craven is really kind of toying with the audience. He knows exactly what he's doing.
