The Dangers of Trading for the Ultimate Good in the Church

I think we're selling the church too often as if you follow the church you will find your greatest happiness which isn't untrue. We can trade penultimate goods of my ease my comfort wherever it may fall and I don't actually have to think about the ultimate good, our corporate union in the body of Christ together. John says he thinks there's a temptation to any extreme or anything like yeah well maybe these two extremes that we've identified that I'm not immune to It's like I think most Catholics right now are feeling somehow unmoored that we're kind of drifting but at least these strains have an identity.
