i have very fond memories of watching deb david copperfield performing illusions on t va in the eighties. Yet, strangely enough, i got my whole interest and enthusiasm magic through a comedy open mike that i go to regulatedly to practise my stand up comedy. There was this horrible open mike, tiny in this really weird club that's hard to get to. And there was a guy who wasn't a comedian, but he was a magician who had come to comedy open mikes to practice his magic tricks. Like, just his personality was kind of hard to wrap your brain around. But his tricks were amasmaan. They were brilliant. Some of em weret were not.
