Global Catastrophic Risk
A global risk is a risk which, if it is to happen, will have effects for the entire planet and all the human beings who live on it. Many risks which aure catastro for part of the world are not global. Even the black death was not a too global catastrophic risk. It wiped out about half the population of eurasia, but it left southern africa and the americas untouched. And conversely, there are many global risks which are not catastrophic because the offences, the results, i should say, are not sufficiently terminal or severe.
