The Cost of Free Speech Is Much Higher Than the Cost of Living
Do you think that first amendment standard would make a diverse, contentious society such as the united states a healthier one? You know, i do think so, because there's actually no real way of shutting up voices we don't like. Free speech has lots of costs, lots of bad things, lots of nasty things, right? But the cost of trying to suppress that is actually higher than the cost of living with that of pushing back against it. I would really rather live society where nobody is choosing to share, you know, conspiracy.
