In the country of america, we are made to huddle together by force. And i hear my uncle saying, tell me something i don't know, with laughter in their throats. It is that laughter, our laughter, that i cleave to. We revel in the depth and the flare and the belie and the secrecy of blackness. I hope it's an address that excludes a white reader, but invites the white reader to observe and listen and eavesdrop and reflect. "This is where my head is. This is where my my heart is right now"
