The Hands Come Together to Symbolize Unity and Harmony
For aty buddhists, buddhism can be a religion as well as a philosophy. It's what makes a person feel free and brings joy, harmony and creativity into their life. The only real value of buddhism for the individual is determined by how one understands and lives it. For example, you could look at the beads and understand one bead only by itself doesn't make up a bracelet or a necklace,. But combined with all the other beads, it becomes part of a whole that's greater than the self.
