Kant is original in his recognition of the importance of combination and transformation. In anthropology, that can be seen very clearly if we compare Fraser with Levi Stros. For Fraser, both these great principles turn out to be merely two different misapplications of the association of ideas. There is no feeling in Fraser, no attempt to see how these two principles are in practice combined to form a representation of a magical other world. They are just mistakes and separate mistakes.
