This is what we find when the greeks are declining as a civilization. That's when we find the sort of easy optimism, naive, cheerfulnesst that so many people have projected onto them. And i love the imagery here of the afterglow of the sunset. So he reverences the greek cheerfulness. This is nica's eternal struggle against idealistic thinking. Not i'm not using idealistic in a philosophical sense. A, and so what does he say to continue?
