Is There a Difference Between Monarchy and Democracy?
The idea that politicians should actually be in control of the government, for example, is an extremely radical idea. This is oligarchy by any definition of the word a. The real decisions are made by unelected experts and people in the administrative state who can't be fired or reorganized. And so when you basically have these systems where you're like, we believe in democracy, or liberal democracy, it turns out to mean that politicians have no power over the government.
