The Bible speaks about death everywhere it's the golden thread from Genesis through the Psalms to history of Israel through Jesus Paul Revelation. There's a very strong strain within the Old Testament of just yeah this life is it and when you die you die another strain as the Old Testament unfolds is shadowy shay-all which is not at all attractive or interesting but better than nothing. The New Testament Christian perspective board of the resurrection coming up out of this kind of lonely complex Jewish background but finding this ratification in the resurrection.
