Oil Prices and Natural Gas Prices Are Going Up

We're trying to mitigate short term pain at the expense of long term implications. The real problem is going to be inflation as far as food and energy prices are concerned. This doesn't cause a recession, it causes inflation because consumers have to spend their incomes on those necessities. And that money can't be spent in some place else without endangering other people's standard of living.
