Is It a Course in English Literature?
Riht: These smart students, these are accomplished students. They have disciplined themselves, and they're not in a relative state of imbecility. Riht says history is probably too narrow. It's not humanistic enough to produce people who can deal with the questions that social leaders need to be able to deal with. And then english doesn't have enough umph, which is a sentiment that lewis and tolking, for example, were struggling against as professors.
