The History of High Voltage Crash Test Standards

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is testing new high voltage crash test standards for electric vehicles. The agency's goal is to make sure that just like in gasoline powered cars where you want to not leak fuel because you want to minimize the risk of fire, so too with EVs. "I'm really confident in the system we've designed and built," says NTSB Administrator Pete Kucharski.
