Jess: When someone hasn't experienced any of that emotional attunement, and then they have these strong emotions come up, what does it look like to teach them how to regulate their feelings? Jess: The first step is to make sure they actually can feel them. And so being able to call those to light and recognize them for what they are is the next step.
