The first part of the strategy is providing that contact to them, letting them know who we are and why we want to connect with them. So that leads me to the second part of this framework, and that is personalizing the request. I had a specific rule, whenever i sent one of these connection requests, i would ask myself a question. And that question would be, if i were this person and i received this message, would i be excited to reply? That question totally changed the game for me because what i realized was that a lot of the requests that both i was getting and have been getting, weren't really worth it.
