The Importance of URL Endpoints in Web Applications

In ASP.net core context, I tend to just use a, perhaps, the automatically generated request ID and maybe a correlation ID. It is just pass this on for your logging, right? So you can tell where this request came from, right? And that's typically all I've ever needed. For most web applications, those URL endpoints will be a close approximation to feature. But it could be that they're just never used.
