Victim Blaming

Research suggests that sometimes we see victims as to blame for sort of causing or bringing about their own victimization. But there is an important theoretical distinction between attributing causal blame to a victim versus seeing them as having morally good or bad character. How you're treated by somebody else can shape how moral you seem, according to the research.
