The Future of Imaging in the Emergency Department
In the UK new nice guidelines they now state that patients should go to the ED for imaging rather than it being organized via direct access from the community. So I don't really know whether or not this is going to make a difference but I do think that that's a totally appropriate expectation because getting a scan and getting a report is difficult enough in a 24-7 emergency department. But yeah, it'll be interesting to see what happens in the general picture with referrals in from primary care. Now this change is there within the guidance.
