Is There Any One at Home Inside the Computer That's Simulating Weather?
If a thing is a simulation of intelligence, it would be absurd to say it's not really intelligent, in my view. I think if you make something that behaves as if it's intelligence sufficiently, well then i think you have to admit it really is intelligent. Butit's also true to say that no individual nuron in our brains, or indeed, probably entire networks of nurons, know what's going on either. Itis not a it differenceis bitween simulation and instantiation. So you wanted it, we it really is.
