The Different Types of Dissociative Identity Disorder
Dissociative identity disorder is caused by experiencing severe trauma as we talked about in childhood. As you grow up with these behaviors, they become fully formed until it looks like you have different identities. Some people have what are called paranoid delusions and sometimes people have frontal lobe epilepsy or migraines. And that can be something that can cause depersonalization and derealization.
