Harry Potter is good for kids in the sense that it makes them read a lot. I particularly remember the fifth book, very long and not a great deal. There's a lot of fill filler in there, but it's filler that you read through at incredible speeds. The sad books are good. A lot of books have sad endings. And actually Father Christmas is okay. He doesn't have a sad ending. It's got a very nice cozy ending. Yes, he has. But I just love his Father Christmas because he's so grumpy and so cross. One of my favourite books to read to my daughter, his Father Christmas. She was speaking on What's Up with Raymond Briggs
