The medical profession got around this problem a long time ago by assigning Latin names to things. Political scientists have exactly the same kinds of problems. Our two disciplines are reactive. So we look at what's happening and then we comment on it, which means we've already lost in the language of chess. The other side of this coin is just going to come up more often than our side does for whatever reason.
