Are You Dead in Your Sins?

In the tradition I grew up in, you took it as a given that humans would live forever. That was just kind of like baseline. But what wasn't as explicitly mentioned is for humans to do that is contingent. It's something that comes from outside ourselves as a gift from God. So here he's actually reading the garden narrative in light of Paul the Apostles' reflection on it in 1 Corinthians 15. We talked about how the first human was of the dust and mortal andsecured the opportunity of eternal life. The second atom, Jesus, crucified and risen is what he secures for us.
