Get a contract because you want an iron clad, legally binding statement of the work that's going to be done. One of the big things that you need to hammer out in your contract and make sure that your client is aware of and signs is the scope of the work. As you get more experience, you'll become more comfortable with your pricing. But you got to get there through hard work.
