Frederick bordin was held in the wilson county jail for four and a half months. While awaiting trial, frederick used the phone at the jail to call hundreds of families of missing children. By using call collect he convinced these families he had information about their lost children that was completely false. Frederick could also never understand why nicholas's mother, beverly, was so against having blood taken to confirm a familiar link between the two.
