Sometimes when you see big, fast moves in commodities, it's ecause some hedge fund somewhere got over it skis. It would not shock me if some of the commodity price moovs reflect people unwinding books quicker than they would normally like in less friendly markets. The bigger issue i te come back to you on was this question of what it is that's going to change j powell's mind. Now, i'm going to ask you a completely unforgivable question. But the fed is tightening financial conditions. And usually when the fed tightens financial conditions, you don't get this soft landing where inflation just gently ebbs back into target and everything's happy ever after.
