The Importance of Neuromuscular Efficiency
People with an efficient neuromuscular system will demonstrate a higher standing vertical jump than a person with an inefficient central nervous system. If your trainee is not gained any weight after the first week, then he's not doing the program. The adaptations to loading are neurological and musculoskeletal. And what you ex-fizz types are suggesting is that somehow the body separates those adaptations out and only indulges itself in hypertrophy after a certain period of time. That's not what happens. It doesn't change a day.
