The Fed Needs to Be Very Careful With Climate Change
I worry that this is setting the Fed up for some potential criticism down the road. This is why I think the Fed needs to be even more careful in what it does today. To say we can't have anything to do with climate change, that's a political act. That's a conservative political act. And they would appropriately criticize here for saying, you know, within our mandate, even where climate change is relevant or indeplicable, we won't do it because we're afraid of its politics. But at the same time, it's not see no evil here, no evil, speak no evil. It's engaged in thinking about the implications of climate change for financial stability.
