Why Are So Many Russians Leaving Russia?
Pyotro zolevsky is the economist's turkey correspondent. Turkey has become a temporary haven for russians in vladimer putin's dictatorship. According to turkish media, at least 14 thousand russians are estimated to have moved to turkey since the start of the war. These are young professionals, bankers, lawyers, journalists and computer programmers. They are fleeing an economy that has been ravaged by western sanctions.
