In theatre school it became clear that you were trying too hard to be hip and cool and urbane. You had unwittingly thought that your sort of country rud persona would not be interesting to an audience. So i spent five years in theatre school all told. And then t years into chicago after school, where naturalism finally began to occur to me. I just chipped away at it until finally i realized, simply finally get it, just act like yourself.
