The Drive for the Other Is the Spousal Meaning of the Body
The human person, whether man or woman created in the image of God through a gratuitous gift from that same God is unique in all of creation. The drive for the other is manifest in the human body just as much as it's written in our very existence. So when you hear people talk about that in the theology of the body, the spousal means it's this drive and this self, this capacity for gift to the other that the body manifests and then reveals.
